We have a very thorough process for removing Virus and Malicious software. We start by protecting your DATA. This process is performed in our shop to greatly reduce the fee required. Our In-Shop fee is based upon services performed, not total time as the clock turns. Many computers become infected because of lack of Windows, Antivirus, Adobe Flash, Adobe reader, Java and other updates. We apply those updates before completing our work. We address performance issues and offer suggestions for improvement. We are not the cheapest, but I do not believe that a quick scan will resolve most issues. There is more to our process than just a quick scan, deleting or repairing an infected file. We reinforce the computer’s ability to protect itself from future infections by updating software components.
Some “repair software” available online is actually Fake Anti-Virus, if you did not have a virus before, you do now. The scum who write Virus are highly computer intelligent, but it is sad that their work is destructive, not constructive. Tar, Feathers, Gasoline and One Match would sure send a message.
